2, 2-bis (diphenylphosphine)-1, 1-binaphthalene and its rhodium and ruthenium derivatives can be used as highly selective homogeneous catalysts for the reduction of aryl ketone β -ketoate and α -aminone, as well as for the asymmetric hydrogenation and hydroformylation of alkenes, the Heck reaction and the asymmetric isomerization of allyl Ligand for palladium-catalyzed asymmetric series Heck reaction, this carboanion capture process can be used to synthesize tricyclic sesquiterpenes and also can be used for ruthenium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of α,β -unsaturated acids
